Daytona Beach, FL - 12 teams will be hitting the track at Daytona International Speedway this week to prepare for the 55th Rolex 24, scheduled for January 28 and 29.

The test sessions will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Among the 12 IMSA Weather Tech SportsCar Championship teams that will be on site and preparing for the Rolex 24 will be Ozz Negri (overall winner of the 2012 Rolex 24 at Daytona), Andy Lally (multi-time Rolex 24 class winner), Boris Said (past NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitor), and Katherine Legge (2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona overall leader).

"The Rolex 24 at Daytona is a grueling test of man and machine," said Andrew Booth, DIS Director of Public Relations. "It's America's most prestigious sports car race... and preparation is a big piece."

These test sessions, and the test sessions in December, are not open to the public. The test sessions on January 6 through 8 will be ticketed, and pretty much every team entered into the Rolex 24 will be testing during that time.

Tickets and camping packages for the Rolex 24 can be purchased by calling 1-800-PITSHOP, or by going to DaytonaInternationalSpeedway.com.
