DeLand, FL - West Volusia's advertising authority, along with a conglomeration of local tourism and lodging partners, announces a brand new "stimulus package."

It's known as "$99 for 99 Days," and it was made with the intent to help bring people to the West Volusia area to "stay in hotels and just have fun in the area, all while staying safe," per their press release.

The West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority said in their release that these packages include deals that are $99, or less, and help support businesses in the area that have taken a big hit during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These deals range from $99 a night rates in hotels – which sometimes include other amenities such as a discounted dinner or drink tickets for certain establishments.

The announcement also comes just a few days after the official beginning of Phase I in Florida's early reopening stages, and two days after the county announced an internal audit of its transit systems and advertising authorities, including the West Volusia TAA.

These new “stimulus packages” will start on Friday (May 8th) and run 99 days to August 14th.
