VSO Arrests Naked Man For Aggravated Stalking

Deltona, FL - A 64-year-old Deltona man is in the Volusia County Jail on a charged of Aggravated Stalking but with the multiple guns found in his home, Larry Tague could be facing more charges.

Tague was arrested the first time on December 6 and charged with battering his wife.  Per pre-trial conditions, he signed a no-contact agreement on December 8.  He violated the order the very next day, calling his wife's phone 23 times and leaving 14 voicemails.  She contacted VSO saying she wanted to pursue charges.

Deputies attempted to arrested Tague at his home in the 300 block of Mitnik Drive. They went to the home at 3 a.m. yesterday (December 10). They rang the doorbell but immediately took cover as they could see what appeared to be a rifle leaning against the wall through a window. A naked Tague answered the door with his right hand behind his back, concealing a handgun. He abruptly shut the door before deputies could identify themselves. A perimeter was set up and despite multiple attempts and phone calls to get Tague to come to the door, he did not respond.

Deputies got a felony arrest warrant and made another attempt yesterday (December 10) afternoon. Tague's brother told deputies that Tague was home alone and acting strangely, walking around naked with multiple firearms close by.

Deputies made several PA announcements ordering Tague to come out. He came out with no clothes on and was taken into custody without incident.  Several firearms, including a .50 caliber rifle, were recovered. A Risk Protection Order has been filed which allows a judge to decide whether the weapons can be returned to Tague.

Tague is being held on no bond.
