St. Johns County, FL - The fatality victim in an early morning crash has been identified as 25-year-old Jose E. Vazquez-Trujillo of Palm Coast.  The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 near the St. Johns/Flagler County lines around 4:45 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol report shows that Vazquez-Trujillo was a passenger in a vehicle whose driver lost control.  The report shows the vehicle the victim was traveling in was in the right lane when the driver changed to the center and then the left lane, which is where he lost control. The out-of-control vehicle hit the guardrail, causing it to roll back the other way, first hitting a vehicle in the center lane, then hit another vehicle, also in the center lane.  The car Vazquez-Trujillo was in then hit the concrete barrier, coming to rest right side up.  The other two drivers were able to pull on to the right shoulder. Vazquez-Trujillo and the female driver of the car they were in were not wearing seatbelts. That driver was taken to Halifax Health with serious injuries.  The drivers of the other two vehicles were wearing seatbelts and were not injured. The northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down just after 5 a.m. until just before 10 a.m. There's no word whether the driver of the car Vazquez-Trujillo will face any charges.
