Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says the primary caregiver for a 3-year-old boy injured when 47-year-old Terry May poured boiling water over him, never sought medical treatment for the little boy. They arrested 54-year-old Prescilla Williams on Tuesday (October 22), charging her with child neglect.
When detectives were interviewing Williams after the boiling water incident, she told them that the burn on the victim's back was from a trampoline injury. She is no longer in custody after posting a $5,000 bond.

Terry May was arrested for this incident on a felony child abuse charge on October 10 but it's not the first time he's been charged with child abuse. Sheriff Mike Chitwood said in a Facebook post on October 2, 2019, "Last year we arrested Terry May on a charge of abusing a 3-year-old girl who said he beat her with a belt and burned her in an oven. Unfortunately, it was her word against Terry's, and prosecutors weren't able to make the case. The charge was dropped."
May is still in the Volusia County Jail, being held on a $250,000 bond. He's scheduled for arraignment on November 7.
