Tallahassee, FL - Backers of a proposed constitutional amendment that would overhaul Florida’s electric-utility industry have submitted enough petition signatures for the state Supreme Court to review the ballot wording, according to the Florida Division of Elections website.
The political committee Citizens for Energy Choices had submitted 79,132 valid signatures as of Wednesday, exceeding a 76,632-signature threshold that qualifies it for Supreme Court review.
We’re excited to have 79,132 signatures in 7 congressional districts! And we still have 687,068 to go-- if you haven’t signed yet, please download the #petition here: https://t.co/UssWwEs3F7 pic.twitter.com/nJhLkzmOLx
