Two Temporary Food Banks Today In Flagler County

Posted

Bunnell, FL - Flagler County, in partnership with Feeding Northeast Florida, Flagler Volunteer Services, and Flagler Schools, is opening two temporary drive-through food banks today for Flagler County residents only.

Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord said the County is doing this because many of our community’s food pantries are unable to operate due to COVID-19.

One food bank is at Flagler Palm Coast High School and opens at noon. The other is at Hidden Trails Community Center in Bunnell, which opens at 1 p.m.

Officials say that about 80% of the goods to be distributed are fresh fruits and vegetables – the remainder will be non-perishables.

At this time, the food banks are a one-time thing but county officials say that could change down the road.
