UPDATE:  Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri holds a press conference to describe the crime and the arrest of Tarek Mneimne and Taylor Holcomb-Barber.

Daytona Beach, FL - The investigation into a beachside fatality has resulted in two men being arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Jeffrey Schusky. Daytona Beach Police say 32-year-old Tarek Mneimne and 27-year-old Taylor Holcomb-Barber are both charged with first-degree murder.

Schusky's injury was initially thought to be a stab wound.  An autopsy performed on Sunday by Volusia County Medical Examiner, Dr. James Fulcher, found that the victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound, which killed him.

The report states that someone who knew the victim and the suspects contacted DBPD to tell them that Mneimne drove the shooter from the scene. That person said they were good friends with Schusky. Mneimne turned himself in on Sunday, January 19.

Holcomb-Barber was captured yesterday, (January 20), around 8 p.m., after investigators were able to identify him. They conducted surveillance where he lived. He left the residence in a vehicle. Deputies followed and conducted a traffic stop.  Holcomb- Barber was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.  There's no clear information on his part in Schusky's death as the police report is heavily redacted.
