Tobacco Free VC Partnership To Educate Employers About Smoking & Employees

Daytona Beach, FL - The Tobacco Free Volusia County Partnership is meeting soon to discuss smoking with employers in the area and to educate them about the benefits of having non-smoking employees.

The Partnership will meet Monday, May 22, 4 PM, at the Volusia County Department of Health, 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach, in room 516C.

Partnership Chair, Dr. Diana Lee, will explain to employers how they could save money by legally hiring non-smokers only, educate them as to how they can help employees stop smoking and show them how the changes could save their companies money.

The Partnership is dedicated to stopping smoking and the use of tobacco products, helping to save lives and people's health in Volusia County. The locally organized group advocate not just on the local level, but at the state and national level too, helping to stop young people from beginning to smoke, ending secondhand smoke and stopping the promotion of tobacco.

The meeting will also honor Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) for their work and accomplishments this school year.
