DeLand, FL - The DeLand Fire Department is reporting the rescue of three cats from a structure fire on Saturday (December 26) afternoon. There were no injuries reported at the home located at 1402 Sharon Drive.
Crews from the DeLand Fire Department, Volusia County Fire Rescue (VCFR) and Volusia County EMS responded about 1 p.m. The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew from Squad Engine 81 while members of Engine 82 conducted a search of the structure. The cats were located within the home and taken outside.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
