Parking Enforcement In Downtown DeLand Resumes Today

Posted

DeLand, FL - Parking enforcement in Downtown Deland resumes today. The good news is that this week, through Friday, March 5,  the city will only issue warnings to violators committing minor infractions as part of an educational campaign to raise awareness for parking enforcement.

Those committing more flagrant violations such as illegally parking in a handicap parking spot or double parking will be issued tickets.

The city had suspended the program last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The city does not have paid parking spots, but most street parking and parking lots in Downtown DeLand have two or three-hour time limits during normal business hours.
