Ormond Beach, FL - Investigators want your help to find the two women who stole nearly $17,000 in Apple products from a Walmart in Ormond Beach.
It happened around 4:15 a.m. Saturday (February 23rd) at the store on 1521 West Granada Boulevard, just east of Interstate 95.
Ormond Beach Police Department Officer Keith Walker says security cameras caught the two suspects walking through the front doors on the general merchandise side, grabbing a shopping cart and a plastic tote from the home goods section before heading to electronics.
"One of the females pried open a cabinet and removed 10 Apple iPhones," Walker added. "The other female then pried open the other side of the cabinet and removed 15 Apple iPads and 15 Apple Watches."
The women used the tote to hold all the Apple gear and walked out of the store with it, according to the OBPD incident report.
The report also noted that the cabinet where the Apple products were located was locked and behind a register counter. The women appeared to have a tool they used to pry the cabinet doors open long enough to reach inside and grab the Apple products.
Police say the women left the area briefly after prying the cabinet open to take the iPhones but returned a few minutes later to take the Watches and iPads.
According to the store, the women took two each of the iPhone 7S+ and iPhone 7 models along with two iPhone 6's and three 6S+ models. Also taken were nine Apple Watch S4's and five S3 models as well as two iPad Pro 11's, five Pro 10.5's and nine iPad 6's, all of various colors.
OBPD believes the women fled the scene in a white vehicle.
At least seven suspicious fingerprints were found on the cabinet, per the report.
