Ormond Beach PD Chief To Retire

Ormond Beach, FL - Ormond Beach's top cop is calling it a career.

The city will hold a reception next Tuesday (March 15th) to celebrate the retirement of Police Department Chief Henry "Andy" Osterkamp. It'll start at 6:30 PM at the Ormond Beach City Hall Atrium on 22 South Beach Street. The event is open to the public.

Osterkamp has spent over 30 years at OBPD, starting in 1982 when he was hired as an officer. Since then' he's worked in every division at OBPD, eventually becoming the Chief in July 2010.

Prior to that, Osterkamp served in the United States Marine Corps and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest University in Louisiana.

He's also a graduate of the 211th U.S. Department of Justice National FBI Academy and the 22nd Southern Police Institute Command Officers Program.

Osterkamp's retirement is effective March 31st.
