One Lane Closed on Newmark Blvd for Emergency Repairs

DELTONA, Fla. - Residents of Deltona should be advised, a large portion of Newmark Drive is closed to traffic for the time being. According to an announcement sent out by city staff on Wednesday, the road will be closed for the duration of work to carry out emergency utility repairs that were deemed necessary.

The area of Newmark Drive in need of the repairs spans from 3345 Newmark Blvd in the westward direction towards Howland Blvd, the city release says. Given that Newmark Drive is a one-lane residential road, motorists may have to arrange for alternate routes in the area for the length of the repairs.

"The city will implement approved traffic management and detour signage before the closure begins," the release said. "City Staff will ensure the proper management of traffic to maintain safety throughout the duration of the repair work. We aim to minimize disruptions for residents, travelers, and pedestrians, prioritizing a swift reopening of the roadway with everyone's safety in mind."
