Flagler County, FL - Flagler County has unveiled its updated website, which was designed with more features and information to ensure it is a useful tool for all of its residents and visitors.

“The website is now more aligned with our other websites for economic development and tourism,” County Administrator Craig Coffey said. “Flagler County has a lot of wonderful assets and this gives us an opportunity to showcase what we have to offer.”

Those who are interested in the workings of county government can sign up for email or text notifications under “About Us” using the “E Notify” tab. Flagler County officials recommend signing up for the “Emergency Alert.”

“This is a great feature of the new website,” Flagler County Emergency Manager Steve Garten said. “We can communicate critical information using this. It’s another tool we have to keep our residents informed and safe.”

In that same drop-down menu is the “Contact Us” phone number list by department, “Spotlight Events and Notables” and a variety of other favorites include “Flagler County in Pictures.”

All of Flagler County’s meetings and events are included on one calendar on the website’s homepage.

Residents can sign up for CodeRED under “Webcams and Weather,” or get a current weather update from Flagler County Emergency Management Technician Bob Pickering at “Flagler County Weather.” In addition to an on-page video, there are links to local weather radar and a rip current risk map.

There is a drop-down menu from “Government” that provides visitors to the website with tabs and links to Elected Constitutional Officers and Municipalities as well as the Flagler County Code of Ordinances. The menu under “Emergency Information” provides links to all local law enforcement and fire agencies, the Florida Forest Service and FEMA.

Among the best features of Flagler County’s revised website and newly added social media links – Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube – is that meetings of the Board of County Commission, Planning and Zoning, Economic Opportunity and Tourist Development are streamed live and can be accessed by clicking the YouTube button (yellow with a triangle) on the narrow dark blue menu bar.

“This is just the start,” Coffey said. “We are continually working on improvements to the site that will make it a better and more useful experience for all who visit it.”

The web address is still www.flaglercounty.org.
