Daytona Beach, FL - A 26-year-old man reportedly speeding on his motorcycle on LPGA Boulevard this afternoon (July 2), is dead. Daytona Beach Police officers report that Caleb Driggers lost control of his bike just past Daytona Stadium while driving southbound and passing vehicles around 3:30 p.m. today.

A 9-1-1 caller reported Driggers when he passed her. She spotted a cloud of dust and debris in the air around 300 yards ahead and called 9-1-1 again when she arrived to find Driggers on the ground with his motorcycle in a drain culvert.

Investigators believe Driggers was wearing a helmet when he crashed. It was recovered about 25 feet away from his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Volusia County Medical Examiner’s office has claimed the body and will perform an autopsy sometime tomorrow to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
