Ormond Beach, FL - Two females escape a semi-truck fire uninjured early Monday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol says a call for help went out around 1:00 a.m. and sent troopers just south of Exit 265 for Granada Boulevard. There they found the trailer of a semi-truck on fire with two female occupants, who remain unidentified.

Troopers say the truck was filled with bags of cocoa and caught fire for an unknown reason. For most of the morning, southbound I-95 was down to just one lane. By 8:00, troopers had reopened two of the inside lanes as crews continued to clean up the scene.

It’s unknown when the road will fully reopen.
