Flagler Beach, FL - A four car pile up on Northbound I-95 shuts down the highway, injuring three people including a 6-year-old girl who is now in critical condition.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred yesterday (December 22nd) shortly after 12 p.m. on Northbound I-95 near State Road 100/Moody Boulevard.
FHP says the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet 3500 truck struck the rear end of 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, causing the car lose control and hit another car in the middle lane of NB I-95.
The crash between those two vehicles caused the third vehicle to overturn into a fourth vehicle, before coming to rest in the center lane. As a result, all northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down at State Road 100 near Flagler Beach.
Three people were injured in the crash, including a 6-year-old girl in the Volkswagen, that was transported to Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Chevy truck was cited for careless driving, per FHP's report.
The current status of the girl is unknown at this time.
