County, FL - The Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) will be joining the national celebration of telecommunications personnel in the public safety community during the week of April 9-15.
According to the FCSO, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is celebrated each year during the 2nd week in April to show gratitude to the 9-1-1 call takers and communications specialists and other public safety communications staff who help others during emergencies.
Sheriff Rick Staly supports telecommunications professionals. He will be working as a dispatcher at the Communication's Center on Wednesday, April 12, from 10 AM to 2 PM.
"These dedicated individuals are the ones working behind the scenes and around the clock to serve the citizens of our community, our law enforcement and Emergency Service personnel," said Sheriff Staly. "I would like to express our greatest thanks to these men and women, and also to our community and our public safety partners for joining us to thank them for all that they do."
