FCSO: Body Found On Property Of Missing Bunnell Man Identified

Flagler County, FL - Update: A body that was found on the property of 80 Pine Tree Lane, Bunnell, has been identified as Charles William Singer, who lived at the residence.

An autopsy was performed this week at the Medical Examiner's office in St. Augustine. The cause of the death was determined to be by gunshot.

"We will do everything possible to bring this man's killer or killers to justice," said Sheriff Rick Staly.

The investigation is continuing. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Earlier Reporting: 4/7/17 - A body was found on the property of a missing Bunnell man's residence after members of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Investigative Service Division executed a search warrant.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), the residence is the home of Charles Williams Singer who was reported missing on March 23, 2017. The search warrant was executed around 8 AM Friday morning, April 7. Sheriff Staly was on scene as the investigators from the Sheriff's Office and the State Attorney's Office Homicide Investigations Unit (HIU) and the Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) executed the warrant.

The FCSO reports that an unidentified body was located on the property by a cadaver dog from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office around 10:30 AM. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Crime Scene Unit out of Jacksonville has been contacted and is in route to the scene to assist the Sheriff's CSI Unit. The investigation into the death is open and ongoing.

3 occupants from the residence have been transported to the Sheriff's Office Operations Center where investigators are speaking with them.

"This is outstanding work by our investigators that led to the search warrant today," said Sheriff Rick Staly. "I am confident that our investigators and the Medical Examiner's Office will be able to tell us more about the remains that were located on the property following an autopsy."
