DeLand, FL- Residents helped Downtown DeLand earn the title as America’s Main Street and now we’re inviting everybody to help us party!
From 6-9 p.m. June 30, the MainStreet DeLand Association and contest co-sponsor Independent We Stand, a group that advocates for local businesses, will host a “Main Streets Make Us Better” block party to celebrate Downtown DeLand’s win in the “America’s Main Streets” contest. MainStreet DeLand was one of 242 Main Streets in 48 states that competed for the title in the more-than-three-month-long contest.
The block party, which will be on West Indiana Avenue, will feature a concert from the Daytona Beach Boys Revue band, giveaways, an award presentation and a group photo of residents attending the event about 7:30 p.m. that night.
