DeLand, FL - 4/10/18 Update: Troopers believe they have identified the type of vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a DeLand woman on Easter Sunday.
Based on evidence collected at the scene, the vehicle that fled the scene after striking and killing 57-year-old Catherine Flora near Padrick Ave. was either a 2003-2006 Chevy Silverado or a 2003-2006 Chevy Avalanche. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) believes the vehicle is black with heavy front-end damage.

4/2/18 Update:
The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the DeLand woman who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on Easter Sunday.
57-year-old Catherine Flora, who was struck by a car while trying to cross the road rear Padrick Ave., was pronounced dead by the medical examiner. The crash report indicates that it is unclear whether or not alcohol played a role. The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that left a 57-year-old DeLand woman dead on Easter Sunday.
According to FHP, an unknown vehicle was driving on W. New York Ave. (SR-44) in DeLand at around 9:45 PM on April 1 when it struck a woman who was trying to cross the road near Padrick Ave. The unidentified vehicle then fled the scene.
At this time, troopers do not have a description of the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information is being asked to call FHP at 407-737-2213.
The incident is under investigation and charges are pending.
