DeLand Residents Asked For Input On Downtown Capital Projects

Posted

DeLand, FL - DeLand's Downtown Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) has accumulated cash in reserves and is asking residents for their input on how to spend it. With roughly $600,000 available, the money can be used for one major capital project or several smaller capital projects.

A list of projects to choose from has been developed by the Downtown CRA Board, city staff and MainStreet DeLand Association. The projects align with the city’s redevelopment plan for the downtown area. There are seven suggested projects on the survey, including  renovation of Sunflower and Painters Pond Park and leveling the pavers for the downtown sidewalks.

The complete list can be found with the survey. Residents will be asked to list their top five choices. The survey is available at Downtown CRA Survey

Responses will be accepted through February 26. The results will be tabulated and presented to the Downtown CRA for consideration and approval.
