DeLand Man Loses Claim Against City Over Mask Ordinance

DeLand, FL - A DeLand man spent $400 to file a complaint against the city asking for Emergency Injunctive Relief and Declaratory Judgement. His money was not well-spent.

Brian Dolata’s instant Complaint stated that the ordinance interferes with his “personal liberty and business enterprise, infringes upon his expectation of privacy, and deprives him of rights guaranteed by the Florida Constitution.”

Seventh Judicial Circuit Judge Randell H. Rowe the Third denied the complaint yesterday (August 31). Final judgement was made in favor of the city of DeLand and the plaintiff “shall take nothing by this action.”
