Daytona Beach, FL - A Daytona Beach police officer has been arrested for child pornography possession, according to a release from the department.

“Our response to this incident echoes our commitment to hold not only the community, but even our own officers responsible for their actions,” said Chief Jakari Young. “Anyone found to be in violation of the law, including members of law enforcement who are sworn to protect and serve will be held accountable.”

22-year-old Brandon Fox, who served with the Daytona Beach Police Department for two years, was arrested after the agency received information that he was sharing child pornography through a social media app. According to a statement from Young, investigators found videos and photos depicting children under the age of 10, resulting in seven counts of possession and a $70,000 bond.

His arrest came after officers served a warrant at his residence and additional charges may be filed. Fox’s employment was immediately terminated. Information about his case or booking at the Volusia County Branch Jail was not available.
