Posted

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is preparing for a long slate of festivals and events in the fall tourism season, detailed in a news memo sent out Wednesday.

"The fall season will bring a range of unique festivals to the Daytona Beach area for visitors and locals to enjoy," said Visitors Bureau spokesman Andrew Booth. "With an impressive line-up of activities, live entertainment, art and culture and cuisine, the area’s fall festival lineup has something for everyone."

The next major event will be the Ormond Beach Live Original Music & Art Festival, hosted by the Songwriters Showcases of America. This event will take place on September 30th and October 1st, featuring over 100 original music artists over 12 stages and 70+ booths and vendors. Performances will take place at Rockefeller Gardens.

Following that will be Biketoberfest, the second largest local motorcycle gathering behind only Bike Week. This year's edition will be the 31st annual Biketoberfest, taking place from October 19th through the 22nd. The event will take place all around town, including Main Street and A1A.

Next, along the Halifax River, will be the 61st annual Halifax Art Festival. Spanning November 5th and 6th, the festival will feature over 200 artists from around the country, with music, food, entertainment, and kids' activities.

After that will be the Greek Festival, held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on November 9th through 12th. Here, area residents will get to immerse themselves in Greek culture, food, and entertainment while perusing Greek marketplaces and souvenir shops.

Following that is the Riverfest Seafood Festival, taking place at Rockefeller Gardens in Ormond Beach. Guests will get to enjoy fresh fish and craft beer with live entertainment, with a fishing clinic for kids. This festival is being held on November 18th and 19th.

Happening concurrently is the 30th Annual Fall Festival of the Arts, held on Woodland Boulevard in DeLand. This festival will be worth the drive for Daytona residents, thanks to its 100+ national artists featured and variety of crafts on display. Those wishing to attend should mark November 18th and 19th on their calendars.

Finally, the 50th Annual Daytona Turkey Run will be happening on November 23rd through 26th at Daytona International Speedway. The last major event at the speedway during the fall season, the turkey run will assemble classic cars from around the area for an extra special anniversary. There's only one 50th running, so Turkey Run enthusiasts won't want to miss this one.
