One Voice for Volusia will host its annual Health and Human Services
Summit from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. This event features free
health screenings and immunizations as more than 70 community
organizations and agencies provide information to improve your health
and happiness. Professionals will have a chance to enrich their
understanding of the services available to their clients and receive
valuable free training and CEUs. This event is free and open to the

Circus comes to town, Nov. 4
The circus is coming to the Ocean Center
Saturday, Nov. 4. Garden Bros.
Circus is celebrating 100 years of entertaining families throughout
North America. Guests can see elephants, motorcycle daredevils
somersaulting and spinning in a big Globe of Doom, Chinese acrobats, the
Human Slingshot, crazy comedy with circus clowns, daring aerialists,
cirque artists and more. Show times are at
1:30 p.m.,
4:30 p.m. and 7:30

San Juan basketball shootout relocates to Ocean Center, Nov. 23-24
The 2017 San Juan Shootout has been moved to the Ocean Center due to
severe infrastructure damage in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria.
The Ocean Center will host the women’s basketball tournament
Thursday,
Nov. 23, and
Friday, Nov. 24. The field for the 2017 San Juan Shootout
includes coastal Carolina, North Texas, Buffalo, Nebraska, Detroit and
Clemson. Games begin each day at
2 p.m. and are open to spectators. For
