Daytona Beach, FL - A bear that was seen in a tree at a Holly Hill shopping plaza was believed to have been seen again in Daytona Beach.
On Monday at 11:30 AM, the bear was seen running from a parking lot and into traffic around the 900 block of Beville Road. The scared 1 to 2-year-old, 200-pound bear then ran off the road to go up a tree.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) believes the bear is just looking for woods to stay in and they urged police to come to the scene to prevent people from crowding around the animal.
Animal Control was called and sent to the scene to contain the bear.
