Florida - With a predicted 35 million American traveling on the roads this Memorial Day weekend, AAA - The Auto Club Group and Budweiser warn drivers to be safe if they are drinking alcohol.
Those who plan on drinking should designate a sober driver, call a cab, stay in place or find another safe way home, such as AAA's Tow To Go program.
The Tow To Go program will be available to those who need it and have no other safe plans from Friday, May 26 through 6 AM on Tuesday, May 30.
"Since the program started in 1998, Tow To Go has removed more than 24,000 impaired drivers from roads in the Southeast and the Midwest," says AAA spokesman, Matt Nasworthy. "And when you think about that, so many other lives have been saved because each one of those drivers presented a danger not only to themselves but to countless others on the road."
