Daytona Beach, FL - Not long after the rumors of a new location began to spread, a popular Winter Park based smokehouse announces a new location near the World Center of Racing.
Recently named one of the "South's Best BBQ Joints" by Southern Living, 4 Rivers Smokehouse will bring their signature classic barbecue to the World's Most Famous Beach with a brand new location opening up at One Daytona.
“As we approach the 10th anniversary of opening the very first 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park, the entire 4R family is excited to expand our Barbecue Ministry to the world class entertainment complex at ONE DAYTONA,” said John Rivers, 4R Restaurant Group Founder/CEO. “Never have there been more 4 Rivers fans rallying for their own Smokehouse than in the greater Daytona Beach area."
Officials at One Daytona say that 4 Rivers will create around 50 new local jobs in the area. The 6,500 square-foot restaurant will offer seating for 280 guests, full-service catering and delivery and a full bar.
“4 Rivers certainly has an incredible fan base here in Central Florida,” stated Lesa Kennedy, International Speedway Corporation CEO. “Local support for the 4 Rivers brand has been phenomenal and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to One Daytona and to the Daytona Beach area.”
4 Rivers will be taking over the spot once held by Oklahoma Joe's, another barbecue restaurant closed down in May only after a few months of operation.
The restaurant is expected to open some time this winter.
