DeLand, FL - A DeLand man was struck by a vehicle and killed near the 800 block of East International Speedway in DeLand on Wednesday night.
Just before 11:07 PM, 18-year-old Connor A. Posea was trying to cross the highway on foot, when he was hit by a red Ford Mustang going westbound on U.S. 92. Posea died at the scene, and his family has been notified.
The Ford Mustang was being driven by Thomas Monchak, age 28.
The DeLand Police Department is still investigating at this time, and no charges or citations have been filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
