Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was stabbed to death at a Deltona Burger King early Tuesday morning.
Officials say a person of interest has been detained and interviews are underway.
Witnesses say the stabbing happened shortly before a deputy was flagged down, around 2:31 AM, at the Burger King at 2790 Elkcam Blvd. The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at Halifax Health Hospital in Deltona at around 3:25 AM.
The victim's name won't be released until next of kin have been notified and the identity of the person of interest isn't being released yet, either, because the investigation is still ongoing.
