DeLand, FL-The next installment of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s Coffee With A Cop program is coming to DeLand on Thursday.
Part of a national initiative, the program is designed to foster a community dialogue with law enforcement by creating an informal setting for the discussion of public safety issues and concerns with residents. Thursday’s 90-minute event will kick off at 8 a.m. at the McDonald’s located at 2697 S. Woodland Blvd. As always, the event promises coffee and casual conversation, with no agendas or speeches -- just a chance to ask questions, discuss issues of concern and get to know the deputies in the area.
The Sheriff’s Office has hosted 14 events since 2014.
