Daytona Beach, FL– On Wednesday, January 10th, 2018, Halifax Humane Society and Daytona Ice Arena will host an “Aloha Luau”  themed Dog Park on Ice. It is a wonderful event for people to socialize with their fellow four-legged-friends. All proceeds from the event are used to fulfill our mission of saving and rehabilitating the lives of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals across our community. Pre-registration admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12, FREE for children under 3. Registration fee includes sessions on the ice for dogs both large (36 pounds and over) and small (35 pounds and under), PAWZ ice booties to protect your dog’s paws, 2 slices of pizza & 2 drink tickets for adults and 1 slice of pizza & 1 drink ticket for children. (On-site registration is $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for children.)  We will have an “Aloha Luau” themed costume contest. Winners will be chosen for small dog, large dog, and person, so have fun and come out dressed for the season!

All attendees are welcome to check in beginning at 6:30 pm, but we suggest those with large dogs check in closer to their skate session time of 8:15 pm. For those attendees with both small and large dogs who prefer to have their dogs on the ice together, you will participate in the large dog skate sessions. This is for the safety of the other small dogs at the event.

Pre-registration closes at 5:00 pm on January 9th and on-site registration opens on January 10th at 6:30 pm. The event will run from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm and all proceeds benefit the Halifax Humane Society.

Dog Park On Ice is sponsored by Daytona International Skateway, PAWZ Dog Boots, Subaru of Daytona, and Pet Caress.

The Daytona International Skateway is located at 2400 S. Ridgewood Ave. in South Daytona.  For more information, call Pam Clayton, Special Events Manager 386-274-4703 ext. 328, or visit HalifaxHumaneSociety.org to pre-register for this event online and avoid the day-of crowds.
