Take Bicycle ‘Tour de Palm Coast’ Along Lehigh Trail, Graham Swamp

Posted

Palm Coast – It’s time for Palm Coast’s annual Tour de Palm Coast bicycle ride, and there’s a new “Tour” route this year – with one route option that’s 7 miles along and another that’s 12½ miles long!

The free, guided bicycle ride will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 22, leaving from Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave. (at the back side of Central Park in Town Center). Bicyclists will take a leisurely, interpretive ride along the scenic route of Lehigh Trail behind Epic Movie Theater.

Bicyclists will have the option of a 7-mile, out-and-back route, or for the more adventurous, a 12½-mile, an out-and-back route that goes through Graham Swamp down to Colbert Lane and back. For both routes, the “Tour” will stop at certain points along the way. The ride will return to Palm Coast City Hall.

City of Palm Coast Landscape Architect Bill Butler will lead this year’s Tour de Palm Coast, and staff from Palm Coast Parks & Recreation will assist. The event is part of Palm Coast’s month-long celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month.

The ride is recommended for ages 8 and older (riding own bikes). Bring water and wear helmets; refreshments will be provided at the end of the ride.

The Tour de Palm Coast is free, and registration is not required.
