Parents And Community Members Invited To Volusia United Educators Forums

Volusia County, FL–  Members of the Volusia United Educators with Volusia’s 3MOMs and other community groups are asking for parents and community members to share their ideas, suggestion, and vision for the public schools our children deserve.  “A lot has happened within our public schools over the past 20 years,” said Andrew Spar, President of the Volusia United Educators.  “Much of what has been done to our public schools has been decided by people who are furthest from the classroom.  It is time that parents, community, teachers, and staff come together to talk about what they know our children need and deserve.”

Topics covered may include vocational schools, virtual learning, community schools, college prep, class size, funding taxes and more.  “We want to create a plan of actions,” Spar added.  “Too often, there is talk, but the action is what we really need.  Two forums are planned and dinner and babysitting will be provided.  Parents and community members are invited to attend:
