Offices Of Vital Statistics To Open In Orange City, DeLand Office Will Close

Orange City, Fla. — West Volusia residents soon may request certified Florida birth and death certificates in Orange City. The Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia) will begin offering the service Tuesday, April 3, at its Orange City location at 775 Harley Strickland Boulevard. Vital statistics staff will be available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To consolidate DOH-Volusia services at its Orange City location, the vital statistics staff at the DeLand office on West Rich Avenue will move to Orange City. The vital statistics division of DOH-Volusia’s DeLand office will close permanently at 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 30.

In addition to the Orange City location, DOH-Volusia also offers vital statistics services at its offices at 1845 Holsonback Dr., Daytona Beach and 717 W. Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach.  Only Florida certificates are issued. Certificates also may be ordered online or by mail.

Marriage and divorce certificates are available from the Volusia County Clerk of Court and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics.
