Flagler County, FL- Join Flagler County at its Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30,featuring Army Major Thomas K. Hall, the Senior Army Instructor and Rifle Team Coach at Matanzas High School. Major Hall served as the Secretary of the General Staff for the Assistant Commandant of the US Army Command and General Staff College. He was a Battery Commander in the 1st Battalion 77th Field Artillery which was in direct support of the 194th Armor Brigade. The ceremony will be at 10 a.m. in front of the Government Services Building at 1769 East Moody Blvd., Bunnell. Along with placing a wreath at the Veterans Monument in front of the Government Services Building, Golden Sands, the local chapter of the Girl Scouts of America, will place a Daisy Wreath at the monument. A Flagler Palm Coast High School student will sing the national anthem. Palm Coast-On Monday, May 30, the City of Palm Coast will have a public Memorial Day Ceremony to remember the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. The Ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park, 2860 Palm Coast Pkwy. NW, Palm Coast (1/2 mile west of the Flagler County Library). Parking is available along Corporate Drive and at the Library. In case of rain, the program will be moved to Palm Coast Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive. Ormond Beach- Hundreds of men, women and children will gather in Rockefeller Gardens on Monday, May 30th, in loving memory of those whose supreme sacrifice protect the privileges we enjoy as a nation. This annual Memorial Remembrance Service takes place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 30, at Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive in Ormond Beach.  Rockefeller Gardens is at the southeast corner of Granada Boulevard (State Road 40) and Riverside Drive on the peninsula side of the Granada Bridge, and in front of The Casements.  Parking will be available at The Casements, Fortunato Park, and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. Guest speaker for the 2016 event is Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Garret K. Messner, United States Army, Retired.  LTC Messner is a native of Santa Monica, California. In the event inclement weather threatens the outdoor festivities, the service will be held inside The Casements with a shortened program and limited seating. Port Orange- Port Orange’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on May 30, 2016.  Beginning at 10am, the ceremony honors and remembers our country’s military men and women who died while serving.  The community is invited to attend.
