Join The Foreign Policy Discussion At New Smyrna Beach Library

New Smyrna Beach, FL- Share your thoughts on foreign policy issues facing the United States the first Friday of every month at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway. Participants may borrow the "Great Decisions 2017 Briefing Book" and PBS DVD from the Information Desk to prepare for each discussion.

Staff will lead a group discussion about the waning of Pax Americana on May 4. Attendees will watch a half-hour PBS episode about the topic at 10 a.m. An hour-long discussion will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Great Decisions, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions book, watching a DVD and meeting in a group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.

The library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
