Deltona, FL—The City of Deltona’s Nighttime Christmas Parade will take place starting at 6:00pm on Saturday December 16th, showcasing the theme of “Parade of Light.”  This year’s emcees are Spectrum News 13 anchor Tammie Fields and meteorologist Mallory Nicholls… who will be narrating the Parade that will travel north on Deltona Boulevard for almost a mile.

Judges for this seventh annual Parade include local businesswoman Laura Engstrom, Mandi Brown with Deltona Plaza, and Florida State representative David Santiago.  Parade entrants will compete in one of four categories: Youth/Children’s Group, Band/Vocal/Performance, Commercial/Business entry, and Church/Non-profit group.

Parade entrants and food truck participants are also expected to donate new unwrapped toys to be distributed to local children.

The Parade will launch from the intersection of Enterprise Road and Deltona Boulevard, and will continue on Deltona Boulevard past Deltona Plaza to its end point at Stafford Commons.  There will be several food trucks in the Deltona Plaza parking lot, for the convenience of the Parade attendees.  For information regarding participation in the Deltona Christmas Parade, contact Scott McGrath at smcgrath@deltonafl.gov.
