Flagler Fire Rescue Reminds Residents To Change Smoke Detector Batteries

Posted

Flagler County, FL- Those who “fell back” this past weekend, but fell short when it came to changing the batteries in their smoke detectors can get help from Flagler County Fire Rescue if they need it.

“Changing out smoke detector batteries is a service we provide for residential structures within Flagler County,” said Fire Marshal Jerry Smith. “You provide the batteries, and we supply the labor.”

Those interested in scheduling an appointment for this service should contact Smith’s office at 386-313-4258.

“It is so important to have working smoke detectors,” Flagler County Fire Chief Don Petito said. “We do what we can to keep all of our residents safe, and this is a pretty simple way to accomplish this.”
