DeLand, FL-The DeLand Fire Department is partnering with Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida to host the 1stannual Our Community Rocks Painting Event this Saturday.
The family-friendly event will be from 2-4 p.m. May 13 at DeLand Fire Station 81, 201 W. Howry Avenue. Rocks, painting supplies, and refreshments will be provided by the event sponsors.
An antique fire truck will be on hand for kids to explore after they’re done painting rocks. And if kids are still feeling creative, a DeLand Police cruiser in need of a new paint job will be on hand.
Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida will have a booth for people to learn about the benefits of saving for your future and staff from JC’s Bikes and Boards will be on site to teach children about bicycle safety.
The Fire and Police departments will also hold raffles for some cool prizes.
