New Smyrna Beach, FL- This summer, local youth can learn to catch a rail at the New Smyrna Beach Summer Skate Camp. The ‘Learn to Skate’ camp offers skateboarding lessons, safety instruction and arts and crafts. Lunch also is provided.
Weeklong sessions run daily from 9 a.m. - noon at the New Smyrna Beach Skate Park, 254 Industrial Park Avenue. Sessions are scheduled:
- June 13-17
- June 27-July 1
- July 11-15
- July 25-29
- August 1-5
- August 8-12
Youth age 6-14 may attend. The cost is $130 for New Smyrna Beach residents and $135 for non-residents.
Registration is ongoing and can be completed at the New Smyrna Beach Recreation Department, 1000 Live Oak Street or online at www.nsbpnr.com .
